Capabilities

A deep look at what
Skoolari can do

Three core capabilities that work together to save teachers hours every week — from creating assessments to computing final grades.

Assessment Generation

Questions built directly from your teaching materials

Every question Skoolari generates is grounded in the exact content you uploaded — not pulled from a generic question bank. The AI reads your file, understands the subject matter, and creates targeted questions that reflect what you actually teach.

Each question is also tagged with a source badge showing the exact page, section, or paragraph it came from. You can verify every item before printing. When you print the assessment, those badges disappear — students receive a clean, professional-looking paper.

  • Supports PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, TXT, PNG, JPG and more
  • Five question types: Multiple Choice, True/False, Short Answer, Fill in the Blank, Essay
  • Four difficulty levels: Easy, Average, Difficult, Mixed
  • Focus on a specific chapter, unit, or topic within the material
  • Generate up to 100 items per assessment
  • Full answer key with explanations generated automatically
  • Source badge on every question — hidden on print, visible on screen
  • Download clean text version or copy to clipboard with one click

Auto-Grading

Grade any student submission — even handwritten papers

Students can submit their work in any format. Take a photo of a handwritten exam with your phone, upload a scanned PDF, or have students type their answers directly. Skoolari reads the submission and evaluates every item against the answer key and the original source material.

The result is a complete, itemised grade report — not just a score. Each question shows whether it was correct or incorrect, what the student wrote, what the correct answer is, and a brief explanation for any wrong answers tied to the specific page or section in the material.

  • Accepts handwritten papers (photographed), scanned PDFs, typed answers
  • Item-by-item breakdown — every question individually reviewed
  • Shows student's exact answer vs. the correct answer
  • Explains incorrect answers using language from the source material
  • Final score (e.g. 23/25), percentage, and letter grade
  • Narrative feedback paragraph — constructive and encouraging
  • Grade report saved automatically to the subject gradebook
  • Download or copy the full grade report per student

Grading System & Gradebook

Custom weights, automatic final grades per subject

Each subject folder has its own grading formula. Define as many grading components as you need — Quizzes, Long Quizzes, Periodical Exams, Recitation, Projects — and assign a percentage weight to each. Skoolari checks that your weights add up to exactly 100% and warns you if they don't.

Once set up, final grades are computed automatically. As you record more graded activities, Skoolari averages each student's scores per component, applies the weights, and updates the final grade — no spreadsheet needed.

  • Unlimited grading components per subject
  • Any percentage distribution — fully customisable
  • Auto-Balance button: splits 100% equally across all components instantly
  • Live total bar shows running weight sum — turns green at exactly 100%
  • Configurable passing grade threshold (default 75%)
  • Final grade view: per-component averages + weighted contribution per student
  • PASSING / FAILING status clearly displayed for each student
  • Export final grades CSV — compatible with Excel, Google Sheets, and SIS imports
  • All-subjects gradebook — view and filter records across every folder
